Yikes.: Mixing Xanax and alcohol is never a good idea. The combination can lead to potential problems.

Xanax and alcohol: That is a fairly strong dose of xanax. I would be concerned about mixing alcohol with that high a dose - I am assuming the dose is taken throughout the day. At the most I would try a small - less than 4 oz of wine - NOT hard liquor - with someone to monitor you. If you find yourself getting very sleepy - you need to talk with your doc and get on a lower dose of xanax.

It is NOT safe.: You are on a very high dose of xanax. Most strongly recommend that you not drink alcohol. If this medication is being prescribed for you by a physician - I would expect that you would already have been told NOT to use an alcohol what so ever.
