Pelvic pain?: This could be very dangerous and suggests the IUD may have migrated. Strings should always be visible. Ask why they are not, and ask how the IUD can ever be removed if there are no strings. Tell them a knowledgeable doctor-lawyer has told you that you need an x-ray.
