Your physiology or: diet may have changed as you age. Perhaps you are less well hydrated or eating less salt. It is not a matter of "getting used" to the medication but rather a change in your physiology. Support stockings might be of greater benefit now. Regardless, the dose you are on is the minimal dose and you may need an upward adjustment. Discuss your concerns with your health care provider.
