By Recommendation: By recommendation of your Primary Care Doctor,or from your neighbours or friends.And checking them on line where you can see rating by patients, and any malpractice or sanctions by the Board of Medical Examiners and qualifications including board certifications

GP referral: Your GP is the best placed person to have a good idea of who to refer you to. They will have had experience in making referrals to and working on cases with cardiologists from your area. Within cardiology, some specialise in different aspects to do with heart health (electrical problems Vs pump Vs angiography), your GP will have a good idea of which you need.
