UTI vs stones: Blood in the urine with the type of discomfort you describe could be related to passing a kidney stone. You could certainly still have a UTI, but I can't confirm without seeing the actual UA and cultures. See your PCP for further evaluation. They can try an alternative antibiotic or give you some medications to decrease some of the discomfort.
