A member asked:

I have a common wart on my hand. can i transfer this to my genital. i wiped myself with toilet paper that the wart was touching. is it possible for a common wart to become a genital wart? i received the 3 hpv vaccines but i know it doesnt cover all.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: HPV strains have specific skin types where they choose to live. The genital strains are specific to that tissue and the skin wart strains are a different strain & are specific to regular skin.
