Possibly: It is possible that the front of your shoe is too narrow for your forfeit and that may cause the symptoms you are describing. One way to check this is to trace the outline of your foot on a piece of paper and then lay your shoe over it and compare the widths. Pronation of the foot can also cause similar symptoms and there are "antipronation" running shoes as well. Consider being seen.
