Doctor prescribed me 40mg omeprazole. does not seem to be working. the attack starts as a dull ache between shoulder blades and intensifies to a stabb?

Recheck needed: I would call the prescriber and tell them. It may need more imaging, testing etc. to get relief. Omeprazole does take about a week to work. You could add a nasty tasting oral antacid from the pharmacy. That way you could neutralize the stomach acid asap.
