20 to 40 mg: The risk of ulcers resulting from daily NSAIDs is rel. Risk factors such as age >65, previous ulcers, daily aspirin, and high dose NSAIDS. PPIs have definitely been shown to reduce ulcers. The dose for Prilosec is 20 to 40 mg daily. Long term PPIs can cause problems with calcium and bone metabolism with long term use. There are other side effects of NSAIDs such as heart issues Good luck
