NSAID ulcers: Although it may help some, Prilosec cannot reliably prevent NSAID-induced ulcers. These ulcers can be large and insidious, and frequently only present when they cause acute bleeding or perforation. If NSAIDs are to be used for long-term treatment of back pain, it should only be if prescribed by a physician who is following you closely for this. Don't do it on your own. Good luck.
