No....: a stroke which consists of brain DAMAGE will show up Many so called "strokes" are temporary reductions in BLOOD FLOW (called "TIA"'s transient ischemic attacks) These will not show up on an MRI but an MRA (Magnetic Resonance ANGIOGRAM will show the defect(s) Hope this is helpful Dr Z
