MRI WHITE LESIONS: Mri's are very sensitive at identifying any change in anatomy. Some lesions can look like the beginning of ms, but not actually turn into the disease. High blood pressure and trauma can cause lesions they look like ms or small strokes. Serial examinations are sometimes required to figure out if the findings improve, stay the same, or increase.

Need to sort out: Regarding your specifics, would check images of both neck and head, and even consider lumbar puncture. MS patients can certainly have strokes, and my concern with you involves possibility of a very different disease than MS, such as anti-phospholipid antibody syndrome, arteritis, lupus, even sarcoidosis. Highly recommend opinion from university hospital neurology service.
