Hello doc, one of my friend is suffering from mdr lymph node tuberculosis. reports of sputum are negative.so is this condition contagious? pls help.

TB: Generally speaking, TB would be spread in the sputum via coughing and to a lesser extent breathing. So I would not see this as contagious if there are no organisms noted in the sputum. That being said, everyone and anyone should probably wear a mask around him as an extra later of precaution.
