Pain is severe and comes and goes. seems unbearable. seen a doctor rules out appedix. is this normal for gastritis and how long does it last?

Many causes: Abdominal pain has many causes. Is this a 5 year old person. Please confirm. gastritis is uncommon in the children...antacids can control it within 48 hours. if the pain persists or there is nausea/vomiting or fever, then go/take the person to the Er for a check of the blood counts.
