Bumps: Not sure if symptoms are related. Would be helpful to see bumps on tongue.

No need to worry: Awakening with tingling in hands is typically related to pinching of nerves in certain positions (Peripheral entrapment or carpal tunnel syndrome). The purple bump on your tongue may be a blister but you will need to monitor and see how it evolves. If more and more developing, then you should consider medical evaluation.
