About

Bio

Dr. Mahan Chehrenama is a board certified neurologist with subspecialty certification in headache medicine. She is also a Fellow of the American Headache Society. She has a special interest in management of primary headaches as well as post-concussive headaches and post-concussive syndrome. She is Assistant Clinical Professor at VCU-Inova campus, and previously served as the Neurology consultant for TMS Neuro-Health Centers. Dr. Chehrenama is currently limiting her practice to telemedicine based second opinions for those suffering from chronic headaches that remain unresponsive to interventions as well as those with persistent post-concussive syndrome. She is also currently designing novel clinical trials in this same patient populations in order to advance their care.

Specialties
Doctors may have more than one area of specialty interest. Board certification in a specialty area means the doctor has completed formal training and has practice experience in that specialty, and has passed the certification examination from the corresponding accredited medical specialty board.
