I was outside in the cold for about 5 hrs and my hands were numb tingling and purple could this be mild hypothermia i'm inside now but hands still a bit numb and tingling?

If you are well enough to write this question, you do not have meaningful hypothermia. Stay inside in a warm place. Do not try to warm your body with excess heat or hot water. You may drink a warm drink, but do not take alcohol. Get HPV vaccine. Wish you good health! Safe sex: https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/wellness-and-prevention/safer-sex-guidelines

It sounds like you suffered frostbite or frostnip, given location and symptoms you have experienced.
