A member asked:

I have dermatitis on my nipples.i'm on medication so it's under control.but is it something i should worry about in the long run?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Nipple dermatitis: To answer this question: 1. Once the nipple dermatitis resolves, one should taper down the treatments and switch to moisturizers like petrolatum. Also identifying what is causing or worsening the rash, like harsh soaps, hot water, fragrances & dyes in detergents/fabric softeners and eliminating them helps control rash. 2. Persistent nipple rash, especially if one-sided only, needs evaluation.
