Fast heart rate: Palpitation from fast heart rate can cause chest pain. But, this may also be from chest wall related cause or a congenital heart anomaly. A 7 yr old should not have this symptom. Please see a pediatric cardiologist for diagnosis and treatment. It is always a relief to know that nothing is serious enough to be concerned.
