Surgery: Well, you basically have to decide on surgery verses no surgery. Surgery to reattach the tendon is often done to restore the strength of the arm; on the other hand, low demand patients can do fairly well without surgery, they will just have some degree of weakness at the elbow and a muscular prominence where the biceps has retracted into the arm.
