I am a (previously) extremely healthy 29yo male. recently diagnosed with ra. x-rays- no signs deform. is 15mg of methotrexate the standard start spot?

Yes. : Yes. I usually start at 15 mg/wk. and increase to 20 mg/wk after six weeks if no response. If there is inadequate response to a total of twelve weeks of methotrexate, it's time to add a biological agent.
