What to do: Call the dentist first thing tomorrow morning and discuss what to do. Was the cause of the infection addressed? Merely taking antibiotics will not resolve the problem. Some patients find 600mg Ibuprofen along with 300mg Acetaminophen works as well or actually even better than Hydrocodone. Or you can supplement the Hydrocodone with some Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen meanwhile.

First, call Dentist: Call your Dentist to discuss your specific medication questions. Took years for tooth to become abscessed. Will take 48-72 hrs for infection/inflammation to be controlled by antibiotic. Tooth will require hands-on treatment.
