Doesn't matter when: A TSH of 7.88 is high, no matter what time of day the test was done. One's TSH level doesn't change enough from hour to hour, so it doesn't matter what time the test is done, relative to a person's meals, activities, or medications. One should be sure her doctor is taking care of the disorder causing a high TSH.

Little hypothyroid.: That TSH value is a bit high, which would suggest that your thyroid may be a bit slow. If you're not having symptoms then it may be worth just monitoring, but if you're having relevant symptoms then this should be addressed and treated. Fasting won’t affect results.

Thyroid deficiency: Your TSH level indicates thyroid hormone deficiency and you should consult an endocrinologist for treatment. Trying to repeat tests is not likely to be useful. Consult this site for information: https://medlineplus.gov/ency/article/003684.htm
