Needs to be individualized.: The amount of thyroxine necessary to normalize an individual patient's TSH is variable. The only way to know for sure is to draw a repeat blood test after you have been on that does long enough to see its effects. The amount of thyroxine will then need to be adjusted up or down depending on those results.
