A member asked:

How long do antibodies remain detectable in the blood? i had a clear elisa for lyme disease after recurring lightheadedness and brain fog after a possible bite when hiking in the uk but the test was a good 10 months later -would it still be reliable?

Some antibodies: last for years and some others (such as chicken pox) last a lifetime.....It is VERY unlikely that you had a Lyme exposure if the tests are negative in 10 months! Hope this is helpful Dr Z
