I have had a mirena iud for over two years now with minimal issues. lately however; i have an unbearable vaginal odour, could it be caused by the iud?

Caused=no: The environment of your vagina/cervix/womb is moist & sheds protein & sugar bearing mucous. This is prime food for a variety of germs that feed off them. The odor likely reflects the overgrowth of some odor producing germs which may or may not trigger other symptoms. It is sometimes harder to clear these infections when you have a foreign body (IUD) in place. Time for a visit for proper dx & rx.
