Mri tomorrow for papilldema. neurologist said today he don't think it's anything bad,all reflexes were good & no bad signs what else could cause this?

Papilledema: Could be HTN,thyroid disease, diabetes, optic neuritis,meningoma ( benign tumor) sarcoid, autoimmune, toxo, idiopathic cerebral hypertension meaning the pressure in the head is elevated. Do you have headache? Blurred vision? Balance issues? Could also be early MS, with normal reflexes less likely. rarely lymphoma f/u/ w/ neurology as you are doing

Pseudotumor Cerebri: Increased intracranial pressure without tumor is called Pseudotumor cerebri. The MRI is normal. OCT of optic nerves & macula may show typical pattern of diagnosis. (http://www.jocms.org/index.php/jcms/article/view/151) Must do lab workup if vitamin D & B12 are low need treatment. Vitamin A may be up in Pseudotumor. Pseudotumor cerebri can cause irreversible optic nerve damage. In my experience is also a cause of a sero-negative arthritis called RSD.
