I had a vertibral artery dissection on 1/17/22. i had an mri today and my other vessels are compensating so they said everything looks good. i never got to talk to the neurologist so i never got to ask how long will i have symptoms?

You don't mention whether you suffered brain damage, other than headache, from the dissection. You really should ask your neurologist for more information about your current status if you sustained brain damage such as difficulty swallowing, or speaking,balance problems or visual issues and, if so, how much improvement you can expect over time. We wouldn't be able to provide any prognosis.

Appears that you are stabilizing, and I trust that appropriate medications are being employed. You do need followup by a neurologist to make certain that all is normalizing. Since your local doctors know you best, be persistent and have a further discussion with them.
