No. Need symptoms.: You shouldn't suspect Balamuthia infection unless you have SYMPTOMS that corroborate it. Symptoms would include a nodular skin rash (granuloma) @the site of entry, headaches, & neurologic symptoms (Balamuthia often travels to the brain) like paralysis. Rare: Possible but rare. Best wash nose and finger well with soap and water. It is not a common infection. If you develop headaches, or other symptoms of infection . Go to ER for evaluation!
