2 weeks ago dirt under fingernail then later touched inside of nose in san diego. have been having terrible headaches. could i have balamuthia mandril

Very Very UNLIKELY: Do you have HIV/AIDS, cancer, liver disease, diabetes..??? If so that's one of the many risk factors but the disease itself is very very rare. Keep well hydrated, check BP and avoid excessive salt. It is very unlikely that you have this infection acquired in San Diego. Your headaches should be evaluated though by your PCP. Watch for signs of dizziness, imbalance and weakness.
