Yes: Xanax (alprazolam) is a short acting benzodiazepine, it is one of the most addictive benzos available . Currently we dont use it much in the treatment of anxiety disorders. Anxiety disorders respond well to much safer medication protocols. Benzos are depressants, in higher doses, may negatively affect sex drive, have your husband see a psychiatrist who specialize in anxiety disorders.

Yes, and sure can: Xanax (alprazolam) is commonly prescribed for anxiety. But i'm not at all a fan of xanax (alprazolam). First, over time it tends to make anxiety worse, because for most the benefit wears off after a few weeks. And when the drug effect goes away after a few hours, anxiety is often worse then too. Second, it's one of the more potentially addicting drugs available. Third, it often affects energy and alertness, including sex.

Xanax (alprazolam): Xanax (alprazolam) is in the class of benzodiazipines---all of which can be addictive. Dosage is an important consideration. Also, all psychoacticve drugs have side effects-among them "libido changes". Eczema also can be impacted by stress. Xanax (alprazolam) is an antianxiety drug used to "reduce" stress. However, it makes more sense to me to try to find out the cause of the stress rather than simply treating a symptom.
