I was diagnosed with perioral dermatitis and prescribed doxycycline 100mg 2x a day. no topical cream, wash with clear water. day 3 no improvement.

More time. : Be patient with your treatment regimen. It’s just too soon for any real improvement to be realized. Give it at least a few weeks.

Perioral dermatitis: Is a none specific diagnosis hence etiology of the cause may not be obvious to the treating physician. That said it may be okay to give it a few more days if still no improvement notify treating physician or seek a second opinion
