Possible: But not likely. Fluid retention due to uncontrolled CHF is more likely to be accounting for your weight gain. The meds that you have been started on may need to be further uptitrated, specifically diuretics, or water pills, so that you maintain your weight steady. Call your prescriber, ideally your cardiologist, to let them know about your weight gain so that they can make adjust your meds.
