UTI vs porphyria: "light green pee" is an unusual symptom. The most common cause of fever and flank pain is a urinary tract injection (UTI) or kidney stone. If this has been ruled out by a urinalysis, one of the uncommon causes of abdominal or flank pain, esp with changes in urine color, is porphyia, which is a genetic problem with hemaglobin metabolism. Porphyria can have many bizarre symptoms and many types.
