Mucus is normal: Mucus is always present in all throats. Inflamed mucus(sinusitis) comes from nose, (laryngopharyngeal reflux) comes from below. Drink water before taking pills can help you swallow them. If your mouth is often dry and sticky, you may have sicca syndrome - dry, sore mouth, dry eyes, and other symptoms. Your doctor can do an easy test for it.
