No: Bronchitis is generally not contagious but I would still NOT COUGH without a "a shield" (Handkerchief or at the very minimum your elbow! Hope this is helpful Dr Z

Contagious.: The length of the contagiousness can vary depending on the type of virus you're carrying. In most cases even if you go to the doctor they won't be testing to isolate a particular virus because there are hundreds of them. Most medical professionals suggest that you assume you are contagious for as long as you are experiencing the other cold symptoms, which is a period of about a week.
