Occipital nerve : The occipital nerves run from the base of the skull to the top of the head, the can be trapped and squeezed by the neck muscles, especially the trapezius muscle, causing pain, tingling, and headaches. The diagnosis is made by injection of the nerves or the muscles. Medicines such as the antiseizure medications will also help. You need to see a board-certified pain doctor.
