Possible miscarriage: I'm sorry. Bleeding and cramping in early pregnancy indicates a threatened miscarriage. HCG levels typically double every 2 days in early pregnancy but not always. The only way to know for sure what is going on is to wait and see what happens and follow up as the ER told you. The waiting and not knowing is the hardest part. If you start having severe pain or very heavy bleeding, go back to ER.
