Bigger question: Hi, Bile does stay in the gallbladder but the liver doesn't "force" bile into the gallbladder with pressure (like your bladder does when you urinate), so we really don't see ruptures at all with this. Depending on what your final diagnosis is, usually the discussion from here is whether this finding is a reasonable explanation for your symptoms and if an operation can cure it. Hope this helps

It means that: your gallbladder didn't contract normally in response to the CCK injection. The degree of contraction is calulated as the Ejection Fraction(EF, normal greater than 40%). Low EF usually implies Functional Gallbaldder Disorder in the absence of other findings. Your gallbladder will not rupture under these circumstances, eventually some emptying will occur.
