Bipolar disorder: Have him start by seeing his family doc. You might ask the scheduler if the doctor is comfortable diagnosing and prescribing for anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, or other psychiatric disorders. Have your brother fill out MDQ and PHQ-9 questionaires to facilitate his visit. He will most likely need medication, counseling, and follow-up. Good luck!
