Family support of: Treatment and the patient is very important with schizophrenia. Consistently taking prescribed psychiatric medications is imperative. Various forms of talking therapy are also indicated. Today's medications to treat schizophrenia are far superior to those in the past. Take care.

Sorry to hear that: Schizophrenia manifests in a variety of forms (often showing up in young adult years) and paranoia can certainly be a symptom. If you can get him to see a psychiatrist, he/she can help him with medication. Some folks can manage their symptoms better than others. A clinical psychologist can help w/that. Stay clear and consistent w/him. Peace and good health.
