Watch for any change: Ulcers in the mouth are quite common. Most of them are painful and are related to virus infections(often called canker sores). They heal themselves in 7-10 days. So keep an eye on it to see the changes over the next 2-4 weeks. If it grows in size or does not heal, it needs to be biopsied by a oral surgeon(ENT or Dental surgeon) to be examined micrcroscopically to rule out early cancer.
