Dull burning pain in urethra that doesn't get worse when urinating. i'll think i'm done urinating, but if i push more dribbles out. came on suddenly. home test for uti was negative. what could cause?

IC?: It could be interstitial cystitis or possibly external genital/vaginal infection. Try avoiding tangy foods such as citrus, cranberry, cola, tea, tomatoes for a while. (see ic-network .Com for more). If symptoms persist have your gyn take a look.

Assume infection: Until proven other wise. Your symptoms are classic for a uti. It may be an atypical agent. Do not depend on the home test.
