A member asked:

My 11 month old has ringworm, i have been treating it with lotrimin for about 5 days. how will i know the treatment is working? signs of healing?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Drying centrally: "Ringworm" or Tinea Corporis is relatively common acquired fungal skin infection, is amenable to topical therapy with the lotrimin. Apply the cream at least two centimeters around the lesion for two weeks. Resolution of the infection will be apparent as the lesion no longer increases in size and shows drying centrally. Nummular Eczema can look like Ringworm but is treated differently.
