Ringworm: Ringworm can occasionally be resistant to treatment so you may need a different antifungal. Additionally, there is a common skin disorder that is often misdiagnosed as ringworm called pityriasis rosea which you may have. PR does not respond to topical antifungals but goes away on its own. It starts with one larger patch and then multiple smaller patches develop over a few weeks.
