A member asked:

If i looked at the solar eclipse and it was just strong sunlight and no moon did i damage my retina? i don't have special glasses & only sunglasses on

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Damage possible: Retinal damage is possible when looking directly at the sun without protection. Regular sunglasses do not give adequate protection. Eclipse glasses are 100,000 darker than regular sunglasses and block almost all light and all of UV radiation. You may need to follow up with an ophthalmologist to determine if you damaged your eyes.
