I have high blood pressure.doctor advised that i must change my lifestyle. what can i do to lower it? doctor advised eat less salt and excersize. anything else?

Avoid stressful situ: Along with limiting salt (in ALL forms, even processed foods & cooking) to less than 2 g per day, & exercising (start 15 min/day every other weekday, then gradually work up to 30-45 min/day), the other lifestyle change include: quit cigs; max 2 alcohol drinks/day & 14 drinks/week; maintain healthy weight/BMI; vegetables & low-cholesterol diet; stress management if you have a "stressful" lifestyle

See physician: As a young hypertensive you need to be assessed and screened for secondary causes of hypertension(eg. Hyperthyroid, pituitary abnormalities, renal artery stenosis etc.) suggest you see a physician who can assist you with this. Best wishes
