No: Neutrophil count is low-normal as far as this pathologist is concerned. The test really counts the ones that are circulating in the blood; the large majority are "hanging out" on the walls of the little veins. Lowish counts above 1000 aren't a health concern. Do keep an eye on this, especially if this is new and/or you're taking medications that can be neutrophil poisons.
