Tricky pain!: Although the symptoms could be due to a pinched peripheral nerve (ulnar radiculopathy), there could be a more serious cause. Anginal pain (pain from the heart not getting adequate blood flow/ oxygen) can occur between the shoulder blades and affect the arm. Even a tear in the thoracic aorta can hurt this way. I don't know your age or risk factors; an emergency physician can sort this out.
