Nausea: I assume pregnancy is not a possibility. Persistent nausea can be due to gastritis, liver or gall bladder dysfunction or sluggish stomach emptying overnight. Try not eating anything for 2 hours before going to bed. A gastroenterologist is best qualified to evaluate and treat you. Flat room temperature ginger ale, coca cola may relieve nausea.

Get medical checkup: Persistent nausea means something is wrong. Have you lost any weight during the past 2-3 months? Let us know how much. Go back to your PCP and seek evaluation of your stomach. This may require endoscopy or CT scan of the abdomen . These may be required if you are losing weight. So keep track of your weight once weekly and record it.
